Literature and Storytelling is a powerful gateway to our emotions and self-knowledge.

When I was a child, books, poems and essays were some of my best friends and trusted confidants. They helped me make the challenges of life external to myself so that I could have an objective perspective. Books are my personal oracle for self-discovery. So i wanted to take you along for the journey - into some of the literature that has been in my life and studies for decades. These are the narratives that have shaped and transformed me. What is "Afrobibliotherapy?"

It’s a literary therapeutic community for healing and reflection on the life experiences that we all share. Using the literature of the Afro-Caribbean Black Diaspora, we explore our human experience and human potential in the safety of the infinite playspace within the pages of a book. My Name is Teneshia Samuel. I’m a Counsellor and a die hard book fiend literary critic. Allow me to serve some warm prompts for your reflection by my favourite authors. We’ll form an alliance to journey together.
